 Lucy Kaplansky with Greg Klyma
 Friday, March 23
Folksinger, turned psychologist, turned folksinger again, Lucy Kaplansky is an artist in demand. Convinced that her calling was in another direction, she left the musical fast track to pursue a doctorate in Psychology. Fortunately for us all, she continued to sing and eventually returned to the recording studio. From there, there was no looking back. Says the Associated Press "She is clearly among the largest talents on the acoustic scene today."

"A truly gifted performer . . . strong flat-picking and a bag full of enchanting songs." The New Yorker

In 2004, Greg Klyma moved from his native Buffalo to Austin and immediately began turning heads. The Austin Chronicle called him a “witty, down-home troubadour”, and he was a finalist in the 2005 New Folk Competition at Kerrville Folk Festival. His songs present a strong social conscience, over top of country, bluegrass and rock instrumentation. But he’s not afraid to let his sense of humor come across in his songs and stories. *Jeffrey Foucault was scheduled to perform, but had to cancel. Greg Klyma is a worthy addition to this show.

"He spins meandering tales on a long loved acoustic that bring us to that point where we realize the glass is half empty and half full at the same time." - Performing Songwriter Magazine, June 2004
